Membership
You're invited to discover more about the La Habra Host Lions Club and how you can make a meaningful impact in our community and your own life by joining us. Our club gathers every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Veterans Hall (we do not meet on the 5th Tuesday). You're encouraged to join us as a guest to experience our meetings and see if membership aligns with your interests. The only requirement for membership is to contribute quarterly dues, which support Lions International, and to be available for a few shifts at the Corn Festival.
Our club organizes various annual events, and we encourage members to participate actively—remember, "many hands make light work." By becoming a member, you're directly supporting the Lions' mission and focus programs.
Benefits of Lionism
This club is a service organization that exists to help the community. We extend our support to school organizations, community services and non-profit entities.
As a Lion you get to:
Serve your community
Make new and long-lasting friendships
Make valuable social, community and business connections
Put your leadership skills into action
Join an International Community
Who Lions Are: Lions are men and women dedicated to serving those in need, in our own community and around the world. The over 1.4 million members in more than 48,000 clubs in over 200 countries are different in many ways, but share a core belief – community is what we make it. In addition to humanitarian service, Lions enjoy fellowship and develop leadership skills.
Vision Statement: To be the global leader in community and humanitarian service.
Mission Statement: To empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions clubs.
Requirements for Membership
Dues are required on a quarterly basis. Our club uses dues for administrative purposes that keep our club running.
Your Lion experience is enriched by your active participation. We look forward to your presence at meetings and encourage you to engage in as many service projects as you can.
Our Corn Festival is our biggest event of the year, and it's "all-hands-on-deck." All members are expected to pitch in on this time-consuming and labor intensive event. We promise you'll have a good time too!
